Bed Bug Outbreaks Are More Preventable Than Hotels Think

The flaw in how the industry fights back

Killing the bed bugs you can see is the easy half. Bed bugs do not carry bait to a nest, they hide deep in furniture and wall cracks, they survive long periods without feeding, and a meaningful share of an infestation can exist as eggs a treatment never touches. Those eggs hatch after the room is back in inventory. That is the cycle every operator knows: treat, wait, inspect, treat again, with the room either out of service or carrying the risk that the problem is not actually gone.
